How To Lose Weight With The Zone Lifestyle System
The Zone diet is a diet plan that pays close attention to calorie intake and physical exercise to deliver weight loss. The scientific theory behind the diet looks at the effect of carbohydrates on the body's insulin levels. The plan balances carbohydrate and protein consumption in a three to four ratio, meaning 40% of your calories will come from carbohydrates and 30% from protein (another 30% typically comes from fat). It is crucial to count calories on the Zone plan, with most meals under five hundred calories each and snacks around one hundred calories each.
Under the plan, you eat five times each day (three meals and two snacks), never letting more than five hours pass without eating. If you get eight hours of sleep every night, this means having breakfast within an hour of waking, eating lunch within five hours of breakfast, a snack within five hours of your lunch, dinner within two or three hours of your snack, and a late night snack just before going to sleep.
The majority of foods consumed on the Zone diet program include lean meats, like chicken or fish and other sources of protein, plenty of fruits and vegetables, and a small amount of carbohydrates. Breads, cereals, sugar, potatoes, and rice are the kinds of carb heavy foods that dieters should avoid eating, but can eat occasionally. Dieters must also try not to eat processed foods and high sodium foods.
Exercise is another important part of the Zone diet. The diet suggests moderate intensity physical exercise for thirty minutes a day, six days a week. Physical activity is supposed to enhance the effectiveness of the Zone program. Other things that are supposed to increase the effectiveness of the diet include taking vitamins and nutritional supplements.
The Zone diet is effective for many people trying to lose weight, but it takes a lot of dedication. The reason why this diet and most other diets do not seem to work is because many dieters give up before they are able to see improvement.
