Which Bass Fishing Lures Work Best For Catching Big Bass Fish?
My uncle and I have this ongoing competition between us. You should see him! When he catches more fish than me, he struts around for a week straight and reminds me about it every time he sees me. On top of all that he'll ask the same question repeatedly: "So, how many fish have you caught lately?"
He likes to use plastic worms as his bass fishing lures; he says they can't be beat. I reckon he knows what he's talking about, most of the time. He's proven it more than once, after all. When he's caught himself a giant of a bass and I still have an empty bucket, I'm tempted to push him into the water.
However, I really out-did him on our last trip when we were fishing for bass. I was pulling them in right and left, and he was scowling at me the whole time!
This is how I did it. For my bass fishing lures, I chose crankbait. These look like little baitfish or crawfish, and it's like a juicy steak to a bass fish. They work in most kinds of water, and they are effective fishing lures to add to your arsenal.
As a backup, I used spinnerbaits. These tiny buggers resemble baitfish. They are really good for attracting large bass very quickly. They come in many different colors, and are great for most waters.
That day, I pulled in enough bass for a good feast that night, and had enough for breakfast the next day. I consoled my uncle by telling him he could use his fish as the appetizer. I'm starting to get good at this fishing thing. All I have to do now is get my own big fish story about 'the one that got away'!
